Jaishankar to update parliament on India-China relations today

On Monday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will update the Lok Sabha on India’s relations with China. This comes after successful disengagement of troops at two friction points in eastern Ladakh.

Additionally, several Union Ministers will address various issues in both Houses of Parliament. Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary will speak on the implementation of the Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP) project. Meanwhile, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will introduce a Bill to regulate coastal shipping and promote domestic participation.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will move a Bill to amend banking laws, while Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will present a Bill to amend the Railways Act in the Rajya Sabha. These initiatives highlight the government’s focus on sectoral improvements and addressing national challenges.
