It is very important to beat Corona for a safe Olympic: Yuriko Koike

New Delhi, March 19 (HS): Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike said that it was very important to beat the Coronavirus to host a safe Tokyo Olympics, but it was too early to tell whether the Olympic Games would be held in time. She said that it would be discussed to take a decision.
As the Corona virus causing havoc all over the world and sports world as well, it seems like the world has stopped and due to this many sports activities have been canceled or postponed. After which questions are also raised on whether the Tokyo Olympics starting in July 24, will be able to start on time.
Koike said that she was not thinking of canceling the Olympic Games right now or keeping them without spectators. She said that she was in constant touch with the International Olympic Committee and the central government.
