Israel launched deadly airstrikes on Hezbollah radio following threats of war issued by Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah. Rattled by the Israel’s strategy Nasrallah addressed his members on television on Thursday.

Hours after Nasrallah’s threat of revenge, Israel Defence Forces (ISF) launched airstrikes across Hezbollah’s positions in southern Lebanon. Several Hezbollah buildings and weapon depots were also targeted.

Nasrallah spoke of revenge following pager and walkie-talkie blasts killing 37 Hezbollah members and about 3,000 injured on Tuesday and Wednesday. ISF carried out about 70 airstrikes in southern Lebanon. ISF, however, has not issued any statement relating to the attacks.

Nasrallah led the devastating Shiaite fight against Israel in 2006, with the support of Iran. However, after 2006, he was rarely seem in public.
