Iranian threat: America deploys 3000 soldiers in Saudi Arabia
New York/New Delhi, Nov 20 (HS): The United States has deployed 3000 troops in Saudi Arabia amid tensions in the Middle East. US President Donald Trump on Tuesday formally informed Congress to deploy 3000 troops in Saudi Arabia. Trump told Congress in a letter that Iran remains a threat to the security of the region, including an attack on oil and natural gas facilities in Saudi Arabia.
The letter has been addressed to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Trump said that security forces have been deployed in the Middle East to protect American interests. This deployment has been approved to take action against Iran and its affiliated organizations throughout the region. In the letter, Trump said, Iran is constantly challenging security. On 14 September, oil and gas wells were attacked in Saudi Arabia. The deployment of security forces will curb Iran’s inflammatory habits, as well as help in furthering the protective cooperation in the region.
