India strongly criticized Pakistan at the UN Human Rights Council, calling it a failed state dependent on foreign aid. Kshitij Tyagi, representing India’s Permanent Mission in Geneva, accused Pakistan’s leaders of spreading lies driven by its military-terrorist network.

Tyagi condemned Pakistan for misusing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as a propaganda tool. He said Pakistan thrived on instability and wasted the Council’s time.

Reaffirming India’s stance, Tyagi stated that Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh, would always remain part of India. He highlighted the region’s political, social, and economic progress, crediting government efforts for restoring normalcy. He urged Pakistan to move past its fixation on India and focus on its internal challenges.

India remains committed to democracy and progress, values Pakistan should learn from, Tyagi added.

His remarks echoed India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Parvathaneni Harish, who on February 19 reaffirmed that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. Harish also denounced Pakistan’s misinformation campaigns at the UN Security Council’s Open Debate on Global Governance.
