India records 50,407 new COVID-19 cases, with 804 deaths

New Delhi,12 February (H.S) : Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced that there were 50,407 new COVID19 cases in the country. With this, the active caseload in the country now stands at 6,10,443, or 1.43 percent of total cases.

In India, the daily positivity rate is 3.48 percent, while the weekly positivity rate is 5.07 percent. In the last 24 hours, 1,36,962 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 4,14,68,120 since the start of the pandemic.

As a result, India’s recovery rate is currently at 97.37 percent, with a case fatality rate of 1.19 percent. The country reported 804 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of reported deaths to 5,07,981.

According to ministry data, 74.93 crore tests have been conducted in India so far, with 14,50,532 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
