In a clear message to society dowryless marriage happens

Chapra/Gopalganj,May.30(HS): Law fails but not the determination. If the young generation sticks to values and make efforts to ward off the ills of the society, they get the blessings of the society ultimately.

In one of such cases, young boy and girl decided to marry with no fanfare and dowry less. Their decision was not to the liking of families of both, but they had to reconcile to the noble wish of the daughter and son. The couple Rakesh Kumar and Savita Kumari had become friends during their studies and they decided to get married.

Families of both agreed also. But the hitch was of dowry and huge fanfare. Both the would be couple were adamant on their wish that they would make their marriage a very simple occasion and give a message to the society. They tied the knot of life long at a temple at Bhore in Gopalganj in the presence of villagers and family members.

All bestowed their blessings to this courageous and  inspiring newly weds. Family members conceded that this has given a good message and will go in long way to uproot the evil of dowry in the society for which law already exists, but not followed.
