Imran Khan wants to avoid expensive hotels during his visit of US
Islamabad, July 08 (HS): Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his desire to stay at the country’s ambassadors official residence in Washington instead of an expensive hotel during his three-day visit to the US starting on July 21.
According to Pakistan officail, living at the Ambassador’s residence will cost less. But United States and the city administration is not ready for this. Whenever a dignitary arrives in the US, the US Secret Service takes responsibility for his safety. The city administration has to ensure that during Imran visit, there will be no any kind of transport disturbance.
The US Secret Service takes over the security of a visiting dignitary as soon as he or she lands in America, while the city administration has to ensure that the visit does not disrupt Washington’s traffic.
It is worth mentioning that every year hundreds of President and Prime Minister come to the US capital. US federal government and city administration work jointly so that these visits do not affect the normal life of the city. During his visit, Imran Khan will also meet US officials, media and MPs.
