Imran Khan to meet Trump next month
Islamabad/New Delhi, July. 4 (HS): Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet US President Donald Trump on July 22, Pak Foreign Office spokesperson Mohammad Faisal said on Thursday. This will be his first visit to the US since assuming office last year following his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party’s victory in the general election.
The confirmation of the meeting between the two leaders comes after the US State Department on Tuesday designated the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) as a global terrorist group, paving the way for similar actions by the UN and other states.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Faisal announced the visit Thursday, saying it is aimed at “refreshing bilateral relations.”
