Illegal occupation of around 2 lakh kanal land to be undone
UDHAMPUR, March 12: (H.S)
The Revenue Department District Reasi under directions of Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib, has expunged illegal entries of around two lakh kanals over State, Kahacharai, Common and Forest lands, from Register Khasra Girdawari.
The department in its drive has thereby expunged entries over 106885 kanal 17 marla of forest land, 85728 kanal 6 marla State land, 729 kanal 13 marla kahacharai land and 5 kanal 2 marla common land throughout 9 tehsils of the Reasi district from illegal occupation.
Appropriate eviction procedure would soon be initiated against the illegal occupation of the lands. It is pertinent to mention that a vast area of forest as well as State land was occupied in tehsils Mahore and Thuroo.
