IIIT-A faculty elected IEEE state president
PRAYAGRAJ, February 11 (HS): Dr Satish Kumar Singh, Associate Professor of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Prayagraj is first elected president of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Uttar Pradesh. Notably, IEEE is the world’s largest and most prestigious organization, with more than 450000 professional members from 139 countries worldwide and the world’s largest professional society for last 28 years.
Dr. Satish Kumar Singh got extraordinary support from all the technical institutes and universities including IIT Kanpur, IIT BHU, MNNIT Allahabad, IIIT Allahabad, IIT Roorkee, NITUK, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand Technical Universities, Allahabad, Aligarh, Mahaveer, Rohelkhand, BBD, Galgotia, Amity, UPES, GEHU, DIT, and all other institutes.
“The win is really historical after 28 years and it was felt the first time that all the engineering and technology faculty members and Ph.D. students of entire Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand came to a common platform and elected me and team in the interest of all the IEEE members of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand,” Dr Satish Kumar Singh said while speaking to HS.
