IED recovered from a car in Pulwama

SRINAGAR, May 28 (HS): Pulwama attack type conspiracy was busted and an improvised explosive device (IED) was  recovered from a car with fake number plate JK08B-1426, in Ayengund area of Rajpora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district . It was defused by the personnel of the bomb disposal squad today morning.

According to the police report, that joint team of forces including 44 Rashtriya Rifles (44) and Pulwama police and Kendriya Reserve Police force (CRPF) recovered the improvised explosive device (IED) after searching the vehicle.

He said bomb disposal squad teams were called to the spot that defused  it. The official said that there was no loss of life or property in the incident.

Confirming the recovery, Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar (IPS) told that a “major incident of a vehicle borne IED blast has been averted by the timely input and action by Pulwama Police, CRPF and Army.
