Hyderabad police have summoned actor Allu Arjun for questioning in connection with the Sandhya theater stampede. The questioning is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Chikkadpally police station.

The incident occurred on December 4, when a stampede during the Pushpa 2 premiere led to the death of a 35-year-old woman and critical injuries to her son. Following the tragedy, the police filed charges against Arjun, his security team, and the theater management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Arjun was charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

Arjun was arrested on December 13 but granted interim bail from the Telangana High Court that same day. He was released the next morning.

This development comes as the Hyderabad police consider approaching the high court to cancel Arjun’s bail. Police Commissioner CV Anand stated that the next steps would be taken after consulting legal experts. He also released CCTV footage of the incident to address Arjun’s claims.

Meanwhile, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy criticized Arjun for visiting the theater without police permission, holding a “roadshow” even after the stampede. Reddy recounted the aftermath of the incident, noting that the police moved the victims to the hospital, where the woman, Revathi, was declared dead. The child’s condition remains critical but is improving.

Reddy also accused Arjun of initially refusing to leave the venue when asked by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to help control the crowd. The DCP had to intervene, threatening arrest before Arjun agreed to leave.

In response, Allu Arjun held a press conference denying the allegations, calling them false and damaging to his reputation. He expressed concern for the child’s health and confirmed he was receiving hourly updates on the boy’s condition.
