Hrithik Roshan will celebrate 25 years in Bollywood on January 14, marking a milestone since his debut in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000). This month also holds personal significance, as he turns a year older on January 10. It’s a special time for both Hrithik and his fans.

On Tuesday, Hrithik met members of the Indian media in Mumbai for an informal gathering. He took a moment to express his gratitude for their unwavering support throughout his career. In a heartfelt speech, Hrithik reflected on his journey and acknowledged the media’s role in shaping his growth.

“25 years ago, when Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was releasing, I was so shy and anxious that I avoided interviews altogether. I skipped every promotional event. I didn’t even step outside my house,” Hrithik said. Despite his growth, he confessed, “I’m still shy, but that’s my excuse. This is my chance to say things I’ve never said in 25 years.”

He expressed deep appreciation for the media, crediting them with helping him evolve both as a person and as an actor. “Through our interactions, you made me uncomfortable, and in that discomfort, I grew. You made me responsible and accountable,” he admitted. “It wasn’t easy for a shy guy like me, but it helped me become who I am today.”

The actor’s heartfelt words sparked a warm response from the media. Hrithik also emphasized the media’s influence in shaping public perception. “It’s through you that the world learned how to see me. Thank you for contributing so much to my journey,” he said.

Hrithik’s debut film was directed by his father, Rakesh Roshan. To celebrate his 25 years in the industry, the film will be re-released in theaters on his birthday, a fitting tribute to his remarkable journey in Bollywood.
