Home guard Jawan shots himself to death
Chapra/Gopalganj,27 March,2021 (HS) Probably reeling under some mental pressure for some time, a Home guard Jawan committed suicide by shooting himself by service Rifle in the old office of Inspector in Gopalganj. Deceased has been identified as Guru Nidhi Singh of Budhsi village under Sidhwaliya police station. He was posted at Gopalganj town police station since last one and a half years. SP Anand Kumar reached there and inspected the scenario and instructed to call the Forensic team from Muzaffarpur.
According to information, Guru Nidhi Singh, after taking dinner had reached town police station. Then he went to the old office of the Inspector and shot himself with service Rifle following which he died on the spot. The office has been sealed. SP told that the deceased perhaps was living under constant mental agony and police are investigating the matter from this angle also. Family members have been intimated about the incident and postmortem would be done by a medical board.
