On Sunday night, Hezbollah launched a drone strike on an Israeli military base near Binyamina, killing four IDF soldiers and wounding 58 others. The attack targeted a training base belonging to the IDF’s Golani Brigade, and Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the assault. The group emphasized that this strike demonstrated its capability to hit Israel despite the ongoing military operations in southern Lebanon.

The names of the four deceased soldiers have not yet been released. According to the IDF, seven other soldiers sustained serious injuries, while 14 suffered moderate injuries.

In a statement shortly after midnight, IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari confirmed that authorities are investigating the incident. Notably, the drone attack did not trigger any warning sirens in Israel, raising questions about the military’s preparedness and response.

This incident highlights the ongoing tensions between Hezbollah and Israel, as both sides remain engaged in escalating conflicts. The attack underscores the threats Israel faces from drone technology and unconventional warfare tactics used by Hezbollah. As investigations continue, the IDF is likely to reassess its security measures and response strategies in light of this lethal strike.
