Round 11 of the 2025 Tata Steel Chess Masters featured four decisive games, with Indian grandmasters taking the spotlight. Three of the wins came from Indian players using the black pieces. As the round concluded, World Champion Gukesh Dommaraju maintained his sole lead.

GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov nearly shared the lead but failed to defeat GM Vincent Keymer. Keymer escaped with a draw after an intense battle, transitioning into an opposite-color bishop endgame. Gukesh drew against GM Wei Yi, last year’s winner. GM Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu scored a vital victory over GM Fabiano Caruana, which was the Game of the Day.

In two other decisive games, GM Pentala Harikrishna triumphed over GM Alexey Sarana, and GM Leon Mendonca claimed his first victory in the Masters by defeating GM Vladimir Fedoseev.

In the Tata Steel Chess Challengers, GM Erwin l’Ami seized the sole lead with a victory against IM Lu Miaoyi. GM Thai Dai Van Nguyen, who had led since round eight, lost to GM Frederik Svane. Van Nguyen now trails by half a point, alongside GM Aydin Suleymanli, who won his fifth match against GM Vaishali Rameshbabu.
