The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 9,487 grams of gold from two passengers at Mumbai Airport. The passengers arrived on flight IX 1762 from Jaipur. The gold, valued at ₹7.69 crores, was concealed by the suspects.

Officials discovered that the two passengers had hidden their identities and used fake names to travel. Consequently, the DRI arrested them under the Customs Duty Act of 1962. This seizure highlights ongoing efforts to combat smuggling at Indian airports.

Authorities continue to investigate the case to uncover more details about the passengers’ activities and potential connections to larger smuggling operations.
