From New Delhi and Mumbai to Bihar on tricycles!
Chapra,10 May(HS): Disappointed with the gloomy future in Mumbai and Delhi after covid pandemic, two handicapped persons mustered the courage to reach their native places by sheer will power and determination, of course facing the multifaceted difficulties en route.
After reaching today on the border of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, they waited for Bus to reach them to their destinations, but were frustrated with the attitude of concerned persons who did not pay attention to them. They overcame this disappointment and feeling determined again, proceeded.
28 years old Pravin Kumar from Ghaghra panchayat in Begusarai district, had left for Delhi in 2012 to sustain himself. He got work with a company making bags. The company was closed due to lockdown and his money was spent during one and half month. Finding no other way, he decided to cover the distance of 1,500 kilometres by Tricycle. After eight days, he reached on the border.
After reaching here, he was hopeful that he would be seated in a Bus. But nobody paid attention to his plight. He requested, pleaded, but to no avail. The Bus drove off before his eyes. After covering 24 kilometres he reached Konhwa Mor in Gopalganj and noticed another handicapped. He was Madan, coming from Mumbai.
Polio infected with two legs, Madan used to sell tea in Mumbai. He had also left eight days ago. His Tricycle was engine packed. And lo behold, their eyes met, and Madan tied the tricycle of Pravin with his Tricycle and proceeded together. He is from Darbhanga.
A great example of kindness, brotherhood, sympathy, and lending help exhibited, which was noticed lacking at the administrative level. This story explains volumes of the present-day situation.
