Four players of Italy’s club Sampdoria test corona positive
Rome,08 May(HS): Italy’s football club Sampadoria reported that four of their players have been found infected in the coronavirus test, with one player being infected for the second time.
“They are currently kept in quarantine and will be constantly monitored as per protocol,” the club said in a statement.
On Thursday, the Italian government said it was still examining the medical guidelines of the Italy Football Federation. They said these new cases are being seen as a stumbling block to resume the season.
The teams have been allowed to train individually from this week. Full team training will begin from May 18, but only after approval of the medical protocol.
Earlier, the team doctor along with five players from Sampadoria was found positive in the corona test. More than 2,15,000 people have been infected in Italy due to the coronavirus.
