Former AP tourism minister Akhila Priya arrested in an abduction case

Hyderabad January 06 (H.S) Hyderabad Police arrested former tourism minister of Andhra Pradesh Bhuma Akhila Priya for her alleged involvement in an abduction case.
According to Hyderabad police commissioner Shree Anjani Kumar, On the night of 05.01.2020 at about 1920 hrs, 10-15   persons in the age group of 25-40 years, speaking English and Telugu language, wearing plain clothes and one of them was wearing Police Uniform, holding a stick entered in to the house of National badminton player Pravin Rao posing themselves as I.T. officials on the plea of conducting raids by showing their ID Cards. Having entered into the house, they searched the entire premises and brought down the inmates from the 1st floor and by showing search warrants in the name of Praveen, Naveen and Sunil.
All the three brothers were taken away in
 three separate vehicles (Innova, Swift Dezire and XUV) for alleged interrogation by IT dept.
 The  family of the badminton player suspected foul play and they came to a conclusion that the persons were not Govt. officials and  suspected the involvement of their relatives A.V. Subba Reddy, Akhila Priya, her husband Bhargava Ram and their henchmen and the reasons for the alleged kidnapping was suspected to be a land dispute.
 Meanwhile  police constituted 15 teams and launched a manhunt and located the hideout in Vikarabad and rescued all the three brothers who were unharmed by henchmen.
 On interrogation it was prima facie established that the former Andhra Pradesh tourism minister Akhila Priya and her husband Bhargav Ram are behind the midnight drama and have been named as accused in the FIR registered.
 Smt. Bhooma Akhila Priya husband taken into custody and her husband Bhargav Ram is reportedly absconding.
