Fodder scam detector Amit Khare is now adviser to PM
Ranchi, Oct.12: Jharkhand cadre IAS officer Amit Khare, who revealed fodder scam case and paved path for legal action against RJD chief Lalu Prasad, is now advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Appointment was made today after he retired from the post of secretary HRD in the centre on September 30. He is a 1985 batch IAS who worked in different capacities in Bihar and Jharkhand.
“The appointment committee of the cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Amit Khare, IAS (retd) (JH:1985) as Advisor to the Prime Minister in Prime Minister”s office, in the rank and scale of secretary to Government of India, on contract basis, as per other usual terms and conditions as are applicable in the case of reemployed officers of secretary level in the Government of India, initially for a period of two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, an order said.
