FIR registered against two persons, one for hiding foreign travel history and other for providing shelter
Jammu,02 April(HS): Amid the raging scare about the spread of coronavirus, today Samba Police has filed an FIR against a foreign traveller and a Moulvi who hid the said foreign traveller and sheltered him at a Mosque.
Acting on specific information received from a reliable source that a foreign traveller had taken shelter in a Mosque at Chak Doulat, Police team of Police Station Ramgarh headed by SHO Ramgarh conducted a raid and apprehended the mosque Moulvi along with foreign traveller who has hidden his travel history and took shelter at Mosque.
The accused Moulvi has been identified as Sarfaraz Ahmed Qadri son of Mohd. Sharif of Surankote, Poonch (A/P Moulvi in Mosque at Chak Dolan) and the foreign traveller identified as Qurratulain Siddiqui son of Saleen Uddin Siddiqui of Station Road, Lal Kothi, Maindaho Hamirpur, Lucknow, UP.
Samba Police have made an appeal to the public to come forward with any information about individuals who have recently returned from outside J&K and hiding their travel history.
