FDP on ‘Making Self Sufficient Entrepreneurs & Innovators’ begins at IIIT-A
PRAYAGRAJ, Feb 13 (HS): A twelve-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Making Self Sufficient Entrepreneurs & Innovators” began via online mode at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. Prof. P. Nagabhushan, Director, IIIT-A inaugurated the FDP at Jhalwa campus on Friday. Prof. Nagabhushan gave a detailed insight into the entrepreneurial journey that needs to be implemented in the teaching-learning process for the wholesome development of the students. He motivated the students to hone and showcase their entrepreneurial adroitness at an impressionable age when their high energies can be channelized to build a society reflecting greater aspirations to achieve newer heights in the upcoming times.
Prof. Dr S.P. Mishra, Observer, Department of Science and Technology on the occasion laid a strong foundation by enrapturing the audience and soliciting their attention on the essence of entrepreneurship and the research that was conducted during the period of 1960s on the topic – Making Self Sufficient Entrepreneurs & Innovators. He congratulated the well-organized endeavours of the institute and the Director’s vision to keep the Institute dedicated to serving and addressing the dire need for entrepreneurship in the present state of India.
Dr. Vijayshri Tiwari, Officiating Registrar,IIIT-A spoke on the ripple effects of training young talents from the very beginning of education and help in nation-building. Dr. Shailendra Kumar, HOD, Department of Management Studies, IIIT-A discussed the variability in the realm of entrepreneurship due to the covid situation and how it has impacted the normal businesses which came up with innovative ideas to deal with the sudden and sustaining changes in the business environment. Dr. Pragya Singh, Coordinator of the programme informed that the FDP is currently hosting 50 participants from 13 states across the country working in different capacities.
