New Delhi, Nov 23 (HS): The biggest upsurge of Indian politics was seen in Maharashtra on Saturday morning. On Saturday morning, the BJP formed the government with the NCP. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari administered the oath of office to CM of Devendra Fadnavis. Ajit Pawar was sworn in as deputy CM.

After taking oath, Devendra Fadnavis said that the people of Maharashtra had given a clear mandate. The Shiv Sena, who fought with us, rejected the mandate and tried to form an alliance elsewhere. Maharashtra needed stable governance.

Ajit Pawar said that from the result day till date no government was able to form a government, Maharashtra was facing many problems including farmer issues, so we decided to form a stable government.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Devendra Fadnavis on becoming the CM of Maharashtra again. The PM said congratulations to Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar on swearing-in as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister respectively. I am confident that they will work diligently for the bright future of Maharashtra.

Earlier in the meeting of Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP in Maharashtra, no final decision was made in the name of the Chief Minister. However, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had said that Uddhav Thackeray is ready to become the Chief Minister. Earlier, after leaving the meeting of the three parties, Sharad Pawar had said that as far as the Chief Minister is concerned, there is no duplication on that. Uddhav Thackeray should lead the government. But the picture of Maharashtra’s politics changed on Saturday morning.
