England players will start training from next week
London,15 May(HS): The England and Wales Cricket Board said on Thursday that the England men’s team will participate in training in different locations across the country from next week.
The ECB said in a statement, “Central scheduled bowlers and invited players from the county circuit will train for the next two weeks.”
The team players will undergo a temperature check and follow the social distance guidelines set by the government. Players and coaching staff will have to arrive with full kit for training because the dressing room will be closed.
The Managing Director of England Men’s Cricket Team, Ashley Giles, said, “Clearly, we will only train behind closed doors and play cricket if it is completely safe to do so and the government supports us in this. We are in constant dialogue with the players, coaches and counties to determine what is possible during this period and what facilities will be available to us. “
The England women’s team training is expected to begin in June.
