Encounter breaks out in Anantnag, two hideouts busted, seven terror associates held
Jammu, March 10: An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag on Wednesday. Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, “encounter has started at Kandipora, Bijbehara area of Anantnag. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.” However, in another operation security forces have arrested seven terror associates in Jammu and Kashmir’s Awantipora and also busted two terror modules of JeM & LeT. Police said, “Awantipora police busted two terror modules of JeM & LeT and 7 terror associates arrested, huge quantity of explosive materials recovered.” Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar had claimed to have pre-empted two major militant strikes in south Kashmir even as he termed the killing of Al-Badr chief as major success for security establishment.
