Eleven died of lightning in Bihar
Patna, 30 June (HS): Eleven people were killed in Bihar on Tuesday by the lightning. These deaths were reported from five districts where heavy rain was recorded. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed shock over the deaths and announced an ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the kin of each victim. Only last week about a hundred people had died in one day after being struck by lightning.
The deaths on Tuesday were reported five from Saran, two each from Patna and Nawada and one each from Lakhisarai and Jamui. The CM has appealed the people to be alert and vigilant during rainy season and follow the guidelines issued by the disaster management department.
