ED raids houses and offices of former Shiv Sena MP Anandrao Adsul in Rs. 900 cr bank scam

New Delhi, 27 September (H.S): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday raided the house and office of former Shiv Sena MP Anandrao Adsul in Mumbai and Amravati. The ED team visited Anandrao Adsul’s residence in Kandivali, Mumbai and issued summons to Anandrao Adsul and his son Abhijit Adsul to be present at the ED office for questioning on Monday itself. During the raid on the house, Anandrao Adsul’s health suddenly deteriorated, due to which he was admitted to Life Care Hospital in Goregaon. The ED team has not yet decided to arrest Anandrao Adsul, although an ED team is present at the Goregaon hospital.

According to the information, independent MLA Ravi Rana has alleged irregularities of Rs 900 crore in City Co-operative Bank in Mumbai. Ravi Rana has complained about this to the ED. In this case, at 8.30 am today, the ED team reached Anand Rao Adsul’s house in Kandivali and issued summons. But Anandrao Adsul spoke to the ED team about their pre-planned programs and said that earlier he had been present for questioning in this case. So he should be given some time. After which the ED team started raids at Anandrao Adsul’s houses and offices. The ED team has also recovered some papers from Adsul’s house in Mumbai, said an official.
