Donald Trump approves attack on Iran, then sudden decision
New Delhi , June 21 (HS) : US President Donald Trump cleared the decision to launch a military attack on Iran on Friday after the unmanned US surveillance drone aircraft, worth US 13 million, but reversed the decision before the attack.
Senior administration officials involved in the decision or information told that Donald Trump initially approved the military attack on certain targets such as radar and missile batteries. Officials also said that the attack was to be just before sunrise on Friday, to overcome threat to the Iranian army and citizens.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had said on Thursday that Iran had ‘made a big mistake’ by dropping the American drone. Both the US and Iran had acknowledged that the Iranian security forces had killed US military surveillance drones, but both of them gave different information about this. Trump, jointly addressing the media with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, said, “This drone was clearly on the international border … we have recorded it with all the facts, and we are not just making things … Iran has made a big mistake … “
