DMA slams CM Kejriwal
New Delhi, June 07 (HS): The Delhi Medical Association (DMA) has slammed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for “warning doctors and threatening hospitals” amid rising cases of Corona virus in the capital. The DMA also condemned the FIR filed against the officials of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, alleging “violation of rules for Corona virus testing”.
The Delhi Medical Association wrote a letter to CM Kejriwal on Sunday, saying that they strongly condemned the way Delhi Chief Minister is warning doctors and threatening hospitals for admission and testing of Corona virus patients. The doctors have been serving the people of Delhi for the last two months in this crisis of epidemic. The DMA said in the letter that we are deeply hurt by the way the Delhi government is treating the doctors.
The DMA said that the doctors are being punished and the government is issuing new dictates daily instead of praising their efforts. In the letter, the DMA demanded that the government should set up a coordination committee between professional doctors and the Delhi government, it should provide adequate testing facilities, it should make arrangements for transfer of the patient from one hospital to another and should appoint a nodal officer to oversee the Covid-19 cases.
