Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut accused Satish Salian of acting under pressure to defame the Thackeray family. Satish, father of Disha Salian, filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking a fresh probe into her 2020 death. He urged the court to register an FIR against Aaditya Thackeray and transfer the case to the CBI.

Mumbai Police had earlier registered an accidental death case and formed a three-member SIT to investigate.

Raut Blames Political Agenda

Raut claimed political rivals were using the case to target Thackeray. Speaking to ANI, he said, “The media is twisting the case. Police investigated and confirmed it was an accident, not murder. Now, her father files a petition after five years.”

He linked the case to previous controversies. “The Aurangzeb issue backfired on them. Now, they are fueling the Disha Salian case to shift focus. This is dirty politics aimed at tarnishing a youth leader and our party.”

Sushant’s Father Welcomes Petition

KK Singh, father of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, supported Satish Salian’s move. “He did the right thing. This will finally clarify if it was suicide or murder. Hopefully, with the new government, we will get justice,” he told ANI.
