Diljit Dosanjh reacts to on-stage marriage proposal at Pune concert

Diljit Dosanjh’s Pune concert on Sunday became memorable for an unexpected on-stage marriage proposal. In a viral video, a man proposed to his girlfriend on stage, dropping to one knee as the audience cheered. Diljit, who was performing nearby, clapped and encouraged the audience to applaud as well.

After the proposal, Diljit shook hands with the man and hugged his girlfriend. The man revealed he had been with his girlfriend for 13 years before proposing. Fans reacted with awe, praising the moment as a “dream proposal” and commenting on Diljit’s happiness.

The concert, held at Suryakant Kakade Farms in Kothrud, was also marked by a sudden decision from the state excise department. They canceled the liquor permit for the event due to protests from local groups, including the youth wing of the NCP party and BJP leader Chandrakant Patil.

This cancellation followed Diljit’s previous remarks in Ahmedabad, where he stated he would stop making songs about alcohol if the government banned it nationwide.

Despite the setback, Diljit’s “Dil-Luminati Tour” continues, with upcoming performances scheduled in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati.
