Dilip Ghosh denies BJP and RSS involvement in JNU attack, blames Left parties
Kolkata, 7 January (HS):BJP West Bengal state President Dilip Ghosh today categorically denied any involvement of RSS or BJP in last Saturday’s violent attack on a section of students and teachers of Jawharlal Nehru University and hoped that Delhi police would soon unmask the ‘real perpetrators of the crime’ which was ‘aimed to undermine a disciplined party like BJP’.
Also apprehending that a section of JNU students might also be involved in the incident and that the assault on JNU Students Union President Ayushi Ghosh was ‘fake’,the BJP state President was of the view here today that the entire violence was organised to undermine the reputation of BJP and its Students’ organisation Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
When there was no proof that ABVP was involved in the crime even after three days, the students community and some other organisatons and rival political parties had spread the canards that the ABVP students covered their faces came inside the campus and attacked the students and teachers.
It was nothing but a ‘complete lie and untrue’, he said and demanded a through probe to unravel the truth behind such planned attack.
Replying to queries on the severe injury to Ayishi Ghosh, the state BJP chief refused to budge and reiterated that it should also be properly inquired and proved that her injury was genuine and that she indeed been attacked and hit by the masked goons.
Coming down heavily on the Left parties he blamed them for allegedly organising such pre planned attacks on university students just days before the Delhi Assembly elections to create a public opinion against the ruling BJP.
The Left parties had already lost their relevance in the country, he said and once again blamed them for the recent violent incident at JNU.
