DHUBRI DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION DECLARED LOCAL HOLIDAY ON ACCOUNT OF ASHOKASTAMI ON APRIL 20.
Dhubri, April 20 (HS) The Dhubri district administration has declared April 20 as a local holiday on account of Ashokastami. On that day, all State Government Offices, all Revenue and Magisterial Courts, all the educational institutions of Dhubri district including all financial institutions, co-operative Banks shall remain closed said order.
However, all the educational institutions or persons connected, engaged with the works relating to conduct of various examinations and persons engaged with the works of Assembly Election, 2021 on that day are out of the purview of this order.
Notably, the Dhubri district administration on Sunday vide an order had been made mandatory to bring a negative COVID-19 test report not older than 72 hours for devotees gathering in Dhubri town for the forthcoming congregation on the auspicious of Ashokastami schedule to be held on April 20.
Meanwhile, six new positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Dhubri district on Monday and the district total positive cases raise to 43 nos and one death has so far been reported in 2nd wave of Covid 19.
