DG, RPF awarded 07 members of RPF NCR team for commendable works
PRAYAGRAJ, April 24 (HS): Security of passengers and railway installations has always been a key focus area for Railway Protection Force, North Central Railway. In this connection, Video surveillance system has been commissioned during 2020-21 at 4 stations with zonal video surveillance control center for enhanced monitoring. Jhansi and Mathura stations have been equipped with under vehicular surveillance system (UVSS).
RPF team over NCR has always been doing a committed job with hard hands and soft hearts. During 2020-21, RPF personnel not only caught 113 and 28 persons indulged in ticketing frauds and drugs trafficking respectively but also reunited almost 200 kids with their families and got the lost item handed over back to the owners on numerous occasions. Security personnel also worked diligently in coordination with medical team and commercial staff for implementing Covid-19 protocol during journey. Efforts made by RPF personnel in serving of meals to helpless and stranded persons during lockdown; guarding of railway stations and rolling stock and locomotives during lockdown; critical help rendered in safe delivery of 13 babies in Shramik Special trains over NCR etc. are praiseworthy.
Presently 07 RPF NCR staff including inspector are working on deputation in Railway Board. Director General / Railway Protection Force / Railway Board awarded all these force members with the cash award of total Rs.16,000, for the timely completion of all the tasks given by the higher officials with full devotion, honesty and dedication. Commissioner Ravindra Verma congratulated these force members for their achievement.
