Delhi violence: Home Ministry rejects demand of CM Kejriwal, says- Army will not be deployed

New Delhi, Feb 26 (HS):  Ministry of Home Affairs has said that at present there is no need to deploy the army. According to sources, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that adequate numbers of paramilitary forces have been asked to assist  Delhi Police in the violence-affected areas. The demand for Army deployment was made by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed despite all the efforts violence in  north-east Delhi continues unabated. He said he will write a letter to Union Home Minister Amitshah. Kejriwal tweeted on Wednesday, ‘I was in contact with many people throughout the night. The situation is worrying. The police have failed to manage the situation and build trust (in people) despite all efforts.

After two days of violence and violence, police and security forces took out a flag march on Wednesday in the violence-hit areas of North-East Delhi. According to the police, after two days of violence, the situation has now improving in Seelampur and Maujpur areas of North East Delhi.
