Delhi Police arrested one more person Zakir in Pakistan backed terrorism case

New Delhi, 18 September (H.S): The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested one more person from Mumbai, who is allegedly involved in Pakistan based terrorism module. The accused has been identified as Zakir. This is the eighth arrest in this case.

According to the information, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had busted a terrorist module run by the Pakistan based handler on Tuesday. The police had arrested six people associated with this module. Two of them had gone to Pakistan for training purposes. These people were plotting to blast in the states like Delhi, UP and Maharashtra during the coming festival.

During their interrogation, the police came to know that Zakir, a resident of Mumbai, was also involved in the conspiracy with them. This information was then shared with the Mumbai Police, following which raids were conducted in Mumbai to arrest him.

Delhi Police has arrested Osama’s uncle Humed ur Rehman in this case from UP. The police will bring him to Delhi, where further questioning will be done. Police said that many other accused may be arrested in this case, who were associated with this module.
