Delhi government schools will soon offer courses on elderly care, yoga, and self-help. The new “Science of Living” course will teach meditation, yoga, mindfulness, and stretching exercises to students from kindergarten to class 10, a State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) official said.

The education department is also developing new courses focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The official explained that as technology advances, upgrading skills is essential. To meet this need, the department is designing courses and activities to help students excel in a tech-driven world.

Several existing programs are being updated with new content to increase their effectiveness. Among these is the New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision (NEV), which will teach students business-related activities. NEV will differ from the current Business Blasters program by offering fresh activities and a broader entrepreneurial perspective.

Additionally, the government will introduce a new programme called “Rashtraneeti.” This initiative will provide students with practical knowledge of governance, democracy, active citizenship, and policymaking.

The SCERT official emphasized that these new courses aim to prepare students for future challenges by fostering essential life skills, technological knowledge, and civic responsibility.
