Newly elected BJP MLAs in Delhi will meet on Wednesday to choose their legislative party leader. The selected leader will take oath as chief minister on February 20. The party is considering several new MLAs for the role, including a woman candidate.

Preparations for the oath-taking ceremony are in full swing. BJP has planned a grand event at Ramlila Maidan, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other top leaders will attend. Party leaders Tarun Chugh and Vinod Tawde are managing the arrangements to ensure a seamless event.

Meanwhile, AAP has criticized BJP for delaying the CM selection. Senior leader Gopal Rai accused BJP of struggling to find a leader for Delhi. He warned that the capital could see three different chief ministers over the next five years, just as it did during the last BJP rule.

Tensions between BJP and AAP continue to rise. BJP leaders argue they are taking the time to make a thoughtful decision, while AAP sees the delay as indecisiveness. The upcoming meeting will decide the course of Delhi’s governance for the next five years. With BJP’s high command involved, all eyes remain on Wednesday’s meeting and the final announcement of Delhi’s next chief minister.
