The Delhi Budget Session under the BJP government starts today at 11 am and will run until March 28. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will lead the election of financial committees, crucial for assembly governance. The session begins with a kheer ceremony and will present the CAG report on the Delhi Transport Corporation for 2024.

On March 25, Gupta will present the BJP’s first budget, titled ‘Viksit Delhi,’ focusing on comprehensive development. This marks a major shift in financial policy after 27 years. Last year, the AAP government presented a ₹76,000 crore budget themed ‘Ram Rajya.’

Monday’s proceedings start with Question Hour, where ministers will respond to MLA queries. The Special Mention segment under Rule 280 will follow, allowing legislators to discuss urgent local issues.

The BJP government aims to showcase a new economic vision for Delhi through this session, emphasizing growth and development.
