Delhi BJP’s Sachdeva to Kejriwal: “Drop the ishonest politics!
Ahead of the 2025 Delhi assembly elections, BJP president Virendra Sachdeva wrote to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, urging him to abandon “dishonest” political practices. Sachdeva framed his appeal around the New Year tradition of adopting positive changes and leaving behind bad habits.
In his letter, Sachdeva asked Kejriwal to make resolutions reflecting accountability and integrity. He listed five key points for Kejriwal to address. First, he urged him to stop making false oaths involving his children. Next, he demanded Kejriwal cease exploiting women, the elderly, and religious groups with empty promises.
Sachdeva also criticized Kejriwal for promoting alcohol consumption and called for a public apology to Delhiites. He further condemned the unfulfilled promise to clean the Yamuna River, describing it as a betrayal. Lastly, Sachdeva called on Kejriwal to distance himself from alleged anti-national forces and their donations.
The BJP has consistently accused Kejriwal of failing to deliver on key promises. Sachdeva’s letter aligns with the party’s narrative, portraying AAP’s governance as deceitful and ineffective. By framing these criticisms as resolutions, Sachdeva aims to intensify scrutiny of AAP as elections near.
Sachdeva’s letter reflects BJP’s strategy to challenge AAP’s credibility while appealing to Delhi’s voters.
