New Delhi, Dec 19 (HS): The impact of the jam in Delhi and Gurugram is now beginning to affect flight services. IndiGo has canceled its 19 flights. Apart from this, 16 flights are flying late. Indigo said, we are monitoring the situation and if further cancellation is needed, then its steps will be taken. All passengers will be informed about this. Indigo has booked hotels near the airport to put crew members in service on short notice.

It also stated that, Due to traffic restrictions & to accommodate pax reaching late to the airport, we’ve rescheduled&curtailed our schedule in&out of Delhi by approx 20 departures (approx 10% of our Delhi departures). We’ll take proactive measures if further cancellations required #CitizenshipAct.

Passengers are requested to check the flight status or DIAL website for the latest schedule updates of IndiGo. If internet connectivity is not available, passengers can call Indigo’s call center directly on 0124 6173838.

IndiGo has said in its statement that the flight timings have been rescheduled due to traffic jams and late arrival of crew members. The departure time of 20 flights has been changed. If there is a need to cancel the flight, then appropriate steps will be taken for it.

Air India has also issued a statement. On behalf of Air India, it has been said that the passenger is suffering due to heavy traffic on the Gurugram-Delhi highway. In such a situation, re-issue / no-show/cancellation and refund charges on domestic and international flight tickets are waived. This circular of Air India has been released for 19 December.

In view of the protests against NRC and citizenship law in Delhi, the police administration has done traffic diversion at many places. Due to this, heavy jams have occurred in Delhi and surrounding areas. Trains have been stuck in Gurugram for over two hours and there are reports of 3-4 kilometers of jam. The same situation is also around Kalindi Kunj.
