DDC Rajouri holds Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Nowshera

Rajouri, January,5 (HS) :In an endeavour of District administration Rajouri to reach out to the public at grass root level and to listen to their grievances at their door steps,the District Development Commissioner Rajouri,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh today convened a public outreach camp cum public durbar at Nowshera.
The Grievance Camp witnessed overwhelming response of people from adjoining areas including Nowshera,Rajal,Lamberi,Seri,Deeing,Bhawani
Langer,Kaslian,Nonial,Sair Makri and others areas.
They apprised the DDC about a number of problems being faced by them.A number of issues were put forth by BDC chairpersons sarpanches,panches and locals during the camp including immediate augmentation of power supply and medicare facilities,scarcity of water,improvement in road conditions,school upgradation,improvement in the education system,restoration of damaged roads, payment of bunkers,sanctioning of adequate funds to panchayats under BTV programme,SBM and MGNREGA payments,sanctioning of a veterinary centre  Langer Panchayat,ambulance for village Qila Darhali,Commissioning of Siot Grid stations, Release of PM KISAN installments,Proper functioning of Niabat Bhawani,Mangla Mata,Baba Bhiram shah and Peer Baba shah lak to brought on tourism map upgradation, Upgradation of Government High School Langer,JK Bank Branch at Qila Darhal, Organising Medical board at Nowshera of health sub centre, identification of Dumping site for Nowshera , Repair of Nowshera Darshan agar Road PHe schemes like Plasi Hill,Dandani,Bagnoti and completion of Rajak lift irrigation Scheme.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC said that the district administration is committed to provide better and adequate drinking water, power, health,education and other facilities of daily life to the people of the district. He said that the main purpose of conducting these grievance redressal camps is to listen to the public grievances at their doorsteps so that they can be redressed in an efficient manner with the feedback  obtained from such public outreach camps.
He told the public that the District Administration will leave no stone unturned to improve the public delivery system so as to meet the expectations of the people.While speaking on the occasion,DDC sensitized the PRI members about the latest amendment in the Panchayat Raj Act.He also said that Panchayts are also made accountable in this act and special provisions have been incorporated.He advised the PRI members to hold monthly meets and submit the minutes of meetings to the office of the District Panchayat Officer.
While speaking about the Back to Village programme he said ₹ 6.24 crores have been allocated to Block Development councils for prioritization of the work reflected in the Back to village Book.
Regarding clearance of the pending liabilities of MGNREGA and SBM,DDC asked the ACD Rajouri and DPO to look into the matter and clear the pending liabilities.So far as payment of Bunkers bare concerned the DDC announced that ₹14 cores have been released to clear the bunkers Liability.
Regarding shortage of Drinking water,the DDC also said that Jal Jeevan Mission has been rolled out to provide 55 litres of Drinking water per person per day.
He said the survey for the preparation of DPRs is in progress and advised the PRI members to cooperate with the Department in completing the survey at the earliest.He also advised the PRI members to do the resources mapping the panchayats,so that the water sources can be tapped.
He also announced that District administration is planning to construct the sanitary complexes along the Jammu Poonch Highway,he asked the PRI members to identify the lands.Regarding Violation of the traffic he said that ARTO will check all the route permits of the commercial vehicles plying in the internal roads.Later DDC also handed over gas connection under Ujwala Yojana to 06 Number of beneficiaries.
As a part of the public outreach camp,a special camp was also organised by the Health and Family welfare department.During the said camp 65 persons were screened and were provided with the required medicine.Sheep Husband and Animal Husbandry Department also organised the camp and 23 number of livestock animals were screened by the Veterinary Doctors.A Revenue camp was also organised where caste,income and other relevant documents were provided to the public.
The DDC assured the public that all their genuine demands would be redressed in a time bound manner.He directed the concerned officers to work with zeal,devotion and dedication so as to provide facilities to people at their door steps.He said that the government has launched various schemes and programmes for people and they should come forward to avail the benefits.
