New Delhi, Dec 21(HS):  The Delhi Police arrested Chandrashekhar Azad, the head of the Bhim Army, on Saturday afternoon. Police took Chandra Shekhar Azad into custody late on Friday night. Chandrasekhar had said in a tweet that if all those arrested from Delhi Gate are released, then he is ready to give his arrest.

Before being taken into custody, Chandrasekhar Azad wrote on his Twitter handle, “If the Delhi Police wants to talk, first release our people arrested from Delhi Gate.” In another tweet, Chandrasekhar wrote, ‘All people should be released, I am ready to arrest. Friends, keep on fighting and remain united to protect the Constitution. Jai Bheem, Jai Constitution.
