Covid-19 vaccination prog going on in full swing at NC Rly

PRAYAGRAJ, April 9 (HS): Most awaited and important Covid-19 vaccination program is going on in full swing at North Central Railway, headquarter, Prayagraj. Scores of railway staff was vaccinated on Thursday at Central Hospital Prayagraj. Railway board has asked to compile data of workers of all departments of Indian Railways who are at greater risk of exposure to COVID-19 infection and list of such workers belonging to different departments is being worked out on Prayagraj, Jhansi and Agra divisions, workshops and other units of North Central Railway are being vaccinated. Meanwhile requisite preparations have also been made to organize this critical and important vaccination program in Railway hospitals and dispensaries over North Central Railway. In this connection a mock drill on vaccination was also organized on Thursday. Necessary coordination with state authorities for smooth conduct of this biggest vaccination program is being ensured. Vaccination in Central Hospital Prayagraj is paving the way for early and smooth vaccination of Railways’ staff.

All participants of vaccination program were observed for a period of 30 minutes in the Railway Hospital and no adverse effects post immunization were observed. Participation of Senior Railway Doctors of North Central Railway in this immunization drive will help confidence building in Railway fraternity and public at large w.r.t. health safety standard followed in this immunization and will bring impetus to this biggest and most important vaccination program of our country. Awareness campaign related to this important vaccination campaign is also being organized at stations, trains, hospitals and other units of North Central Railway. Thrust of campaign is to create awareness on importance of vaccination, health safety standard followed in vaccination and precaution against Covid-19 which are required to be continued even after taking COVID-19 vaccine.
