Lucknow,  11 April  (HS) :    To effectively combat the spread of coronavirus in state of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the closure of all government as well as private schools from class 1 to 12th till April 30. At the review meeting with Team 11, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the coaching centers have also been asked to shut down along with the schools. However, the exams that have been pre-scheduled will take place. Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government had decided to close all schools up to class 8 till April 11.

In the meeting, CM Yogi also did a review of the Covid-19 vaccination work.  “The Teeka Utsav has started around the state to inoculate the maximum number of people against the deadly coronavirus. The vaccination work is already going on at 6000 centres in the state and more than 85 lakh people have got their jabs so far”, said the Chief Minister.

In a bid to vaccinate more people on priority, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed everyone to take part in this four day special vaccination drive , Teeka Utsav. The vaccine drive which began on the Birth anniversary in of social reformer Jyotiba Phule will wind up on 14th April on the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

 The CM instructed the officials to create awareness among people so that everyone can take advantage of vaccination. For this purpose, personnel of all departments are required to be associated with the task of Covid Management. Yogi Adityanath also directed to deploy additional human resources if required. People from NSS, NCC and Civil Defence can be used for the vaccination work.

Beds should be increased in Level 2 and 3 hospitals

The Chief Minister emphasised to maintain adequate availability of oxygen, health personnel, medicines, medical equipment and backups in Covid hospitals. He has also issued guidelines for increasing the beds of Level-2 and Level-3 Covid Hospitals. The government will cooperate in every possible way. The Chief Minister directed the officials to completely dedicate the Balrampur Hospital, Era Medical College, TS Mishra Medical College and Integral Medical College of Lucknow, in the treatment of patients suffering from Covid-19. There should be a minimum of 700 beds available in each Covid hospital. All necessary medical facilities should be provided.

Test, trace and treat for prevention of corona

CM Yogi said that for the effective prevention of Covid-19, action should be taken in accordance with the mantra of ‘Test, trace, treat’. In Uttar Pradesh, there are around 125 laboratories in the public sector and 104 laboratories in the private sector for Covid-19 test. He asked to conduct at least 1 lakh RT-PCR tests daily to identify people who have contracted the deadly disease. All government and private testing labs should work with full capacity. Delay in testing will not be tolerated.

Imposition of night curfew on receiving 100 cases

The Chief Minister delegated the power of imposing night curfew to the Districts magistrates where more than 100  corona cases are reported daily or if the total number of active cases in the district is more than 500. The system of Containment Zone should be strictly enforced. Adequate arrangements should be made for all necessary logistics including PPE kits, pulse oximeters, infrared thermometers, sanitizers, antigen kits in all districts. There should not be any complaint of lack of logistics from any district. There is adequate availability of HFNC and ventilator in the state.
