COVID-19 patient gives birth to twins

Hyderabad(Telangana),27 May(HS): A 20-year-old coronavirus positive woman from Medchal district has given birth to twin female babies, after successfully undergoing emergency caesarean section at Gandhi Hospital on late last night on Tuesday.

The twins weighing 2.5 kilograms and 2 kilograms each are in excellent health condition. The young mother is asymptomatic coronavirus positive patient and hails from a containment area in Medchal district.

This is the second pregnancy for the young COVID-19 positive woman. The team of doctors from Gandhi Hospital who conducted the emergency cesarean surgery included Associate Professor Dr Renuka, senior doctors Dr Apoorva, Dr Deepthi Rahasya and PG medico Dr Chandana.
