Covid-19: Food grains to those without ration cards as we- BSY
Bengaluru,04 April(HS): BS Yediyurappa, Chief Minister today informed that food grains will be provided to all those not having ration cards as well.
He was briefing media persons on the preparedness of the state government in addressing the situation arising due to the lockdown situation to prevent the Coronavirus pandemic.
The chief minister told that four people have succumbed so far to the Coronavirus infection in the state and 129 people have been suspected to have been infected by the deadly virus.
However, he clarified that none of them from the state are on the ventilator.
There is no shortage of foodgrains in the state and appealed the people not to panic about the same. He also informed that fruits and vegetables are supplied through the 480 HOPCOMS outlets across the state while arrangements are also being made to procure the same from the farmers.
