Countdown of India’s most powerful defense satellite begins, launch today
New Delhi, Dec 11 (HS): Indian Space Research Organization- ISRO will launch the mighty radar imaging satellite RISAT-2BR1 (RiSAT-2BR1) today, ie, 11 December 2019 at 3.25 pm. After launching, it will be easy to keep an eye on the country’s borders. This satellite will work even in the dark night and bad weather, No matter how bad the weather is on the earth. No matter how cloudy it is, its eyes will be able to rip off those dense clouds and take a clear picture of the boundaries.
With this launching, another record will be made in the name of ISRO. This is a record – to launch 319 satellites in 33 countries in 20 years. Since 1999, ISRO has installed a total of 310 foreign satellites in space. If today’s 9 satellites are included, then this number will be 319. These 319 satellites belong to 33 countries.
ISRO’s capacity for commercial launching has increased year after year. The first commercial launch was held on May 26, 1999, with PASLV-C2. One satellite each of Germany and South Korea were dropped in this launching. Two foreign satellites were launched in the 90s. After this, in the next decade i.e. by 2010, ISRO launch 20 foreign satellites. 297 foreign satellites have been launched since 2010. The capacity of ISRO has become so much that it can launch an average of 16 foreign satellites every year.
